Just finished October by Richard Wright

My book club picked this book for February. I was looking forward to reading it because I had read his book "Clara Callen" years ago and loved it.
When the book began it was all about his daughter finding out she had a very aggressive cancer and was looking at months to maybe a year to live. His wife had died a horrible death many years before from breast cancer as well.
I thought I can't read this....not in February which I find a very down time but I decided to keep going for a little bit before I decided.
I am glad I kept going. I really enjoyed the way he mixed his memories with the present. Also about how people come in and out of our lives at the most unexpected times.

Any other recommendations out there?

I have also included on my blog some of my favourite books. So far I have only posted 2....these are oldies but goodies for me. I need to go through my book journal to remember the other exciting books I have read. talk soon, JFi
